About sinusitis
Sinusitis is swelling of the sinuses, usually after a cold. It can cause a blocked or runny nose, pain and pressure around your face, and a reduced sense of smell.
Under NHS Pharmacy First, our pharmacists can assess your symptoms and offer advice and treatment, including prescription medicines where clinically appropriate.
Who it is for
- Adults and children aged 12 and over with symptoms of sinusitis
- People registered with a GP in England
- Free on the NHS, with standard prescription charges where they apply
How it works
- Book online or walk in to our Bristol Road pharmacy
- A pharmacist assesses your symptoms in private
- Receive advice and treatment if appropriate
Good to know
- Most sinusitis gets better on its own within two to three weeks.
- Seek urgent help if you have swelling around the eyes, changes in vision, a severe headache or confusion.
- Some NHS services can be accessed remotely from our campus branch when clinically appropriate. Please ask the team.
