About pneumonia
Pneumococcal bacteria can cause pneumonia, meningitis and blood infections. The risk is higher for older adults and people with certain long term conditions.
The NHS offers the vaccine to people aged 65 and over and some at risk groups. If you are not eligible but want protection, you can book privately.

How it works
- Book online and complete the health pre-screen
- Choose Bristol Road or our campus branch
- Receive your vaccine, usually as a single dose
Good to know
- Check whether you are eligible on the NHS before booking.
- It can often be given alongside your flu vaccine.
- A sore arm or mild temperature can occur.
